A Daughter's Farewell

Featured Replies

Here's short sentimental work in memory of my daughter.

The piece truly puts you in that mood. Particularly when some motifs seems to go down from the previous one.

Very effective counterpoint.

Really felt it. Such a powerful piece for string quartet you made. A human interpretation would be totally worth listening (which is common, but still I remark it)

The only thing that didn't totally convince me is the last bar half note. I think holding the D in one of the violins to the very end wouldn't have been a bad choice, but that's only my humble opinion.

Once again you did a great job. Hats off.

Thank you for your reflection on my piece.  I am so pleased you felt my angst.  I do understand and did try your suggestion for the end; but alas, I decided to stay with the present conclusion with the movement down to the G in the violin.
