Medieval Fantasy

Featured Replies

Hello,

I composed it for a composer competition. The task was, that the participants had to compose a piece of music about this image in the video.
Feel free to share your opinion with me! 🙂

I think your samples are good and your music sounds great mostly.  The only thing I have to complain about (which is something I think I've brought up in some of your other tracks featuring voices or choir) is that the voice sounds very disconnected and non-legato.  That makes it sound kinda notey and choppy and far from a realistic sounding rendition imo.  I especially feel like the very beginning phrase suffers from a lack of rhythmic variety which might contribute to my impression.

But the instrumental parts are really great and the stronger feature of this piece.  It does sound like a medieval fantasy and I think it does portray the picture quite well although it has a somewhat unexpected touch of melancholy to it.  I especially like the flute/recorder part.

Great job and thanks for sharing!  Do you know how you fared in this competition?

Thank you for your review, Peter! I don't know the result yet, I will know on July 10th or 15, I don't remember exactly.

Beautiful because it says something. I liked the percussion part.
