October 14, 200619 yr This is a sad piece written for string quartet. It's serialist, so I suppose it fits into this forum. It's just one movement. I've done an organ arrangement of this also, but I don't think it's as good. Elegy.sib

I was curious to know what incites you to write serial music... is that for school or as a personnal curiosity or taste ? For there is a lots of technics devellopped in the 20th century and among all these, there is the serialism. Just curious ! :) (I'll try to listen to the piece tonight) EDIT : sorry, I still didn't had time to fetch the sibelius reader... :-(
October 17, 200619 yr Author I just like to experiment with different styles. I like serialism in particular because of its linear structure: it's somewhat comforting to know that the order of the notes is set out at the start.
