Melodic Magic - A spooky yet mystical adventure!

Hello everyone! Today I bring my project over the past couple days. A piece I have dubbed "Melodic Magic". I was trying to capture a mystic feeling, with a spooky edge for October. For this project I made it in FL Studio, using BBSCO Discover as well as Amadeus Symphonic Orchestra. This is the extended version, but I did make an abridged cut of the song that ends around the three minute mark. I know pieces like this can sometimes be too long at five, but I am hoping the changes and the journey come across to you, the listener!

I would also love to know what imagery comes to mind when you hear it. Something that always fascinates me is the way music can represent different stories in everyone's mind. To me, this encompasses a magical journey through a dark and mysterious forest. With some suspense, but also some mystic arts.

I hope you enjoy the listen and I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts! Wish I had scores to offer, but currently I do not have software to do so in FL Studio. (But if there are any suggestions they would be gladly appreciated!)

This is quite a high quality production cue!  And it certainly has a very creepy Halloween vibe to it!  The only downside to this piece is that it stays in the same key of D minor throughout the entirety of its duration.  There are short respites and contrasts from the main idea and changes in orchestration that help accomplish that, but it would have been great to hear a modulation at a choice point in the music to create a sense of suspense or higher tension.  Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much for this feedback! I appreciate it. I had originally thought about doing something like that. Near the halfway point. Then ended up making an extended version (which is this one) and honestly...that would have been the perfect place to do exactly that. Not opposed to going back and re-working it though! Will definitely post here if I do. Thanks for the listen!

It certainly has a lot of elemnents for that turbulent sound. Low choruses, almost in vocal fry, stacatti of the flutes over the ostinato of strings...
It's perfect for the situation.

Thank you! I appreciate you listening! Glad that you thought it fit the description well. It was tons of fun to make and really push myself to add more of and play with varying dynamics.
