Hello there!

Greetings everyone, I found this place today and it looks like a great forum! I'm always seeking more active forums to get feedback and tips. I am 24 years of age trying my best to learn to manipulate the orchestra the best I can :( . I'm a semi pro that works on games/media. I wanted to share this piece I recently completed for fun. It was my first shot at something in this odd style. Its a mix of a ambient textured/fantasy/epic style. Feedback is more then welcome! I am always trying to improve! Thanks alot guys and gals!

"Into The Clouds"

Oooh, lovely atmospheric opening! I can feel tonal uncertainty in the strings as they try to develop a melody.

And then the pace picks up with the drums in the background, but it never loses the gentle touch. I can see why you call this into the clouds. The oboe about halfway through is a lovely touch. The very soft touch you have through all of this is definitely picturesque.

I really love how the melodies don't seem to want to resolve to a major triad easily. There is that tidbit of dissonance, that yearning aching dissonance. Oh, it adds so much to the music. The way it hangs for amoment before finally settling into the triad.

Ah, the build up towards the end. Ah, this is moving so nicely. This is truly a remarkable piece. Soft, vibrant, with glistening chords and a remote but appreciable air. It truly does feel like a journey into the clouds.

Excellent work! I loved it!! :(

Matusleo thanks so much for the kind words mate! I really appreicate you taking the time to actually listen to the track and get in my mind set. It seems in most other forums I post at care nothing unless its action packed john williams styled cues. Thanks so much again mate! Very kind of you.
