June 22, 20241 yr Hello @Cappielly! Nice song! Very folksy and country-like! I like the sarcasm of the lyrics - I can imagine some bitter old man singing this and playing his fiddle. Formally, this doesn't really have a chorus - just instrumental interludes that cling to the original structure and chord progressions. I mean you already said that it's unpolished and weird LoL. I'm sure this would sound much better if performed idiomatically by the instruments you chose. Bars 54 - 56 are especially in need of more idiomatic writing and realistic improvisation of real players. But I definitely enjoyed this nonetheless - thanks for sharing!
