Hey there!

I just wrote this piano piece yesterday and I wanted to see what you guys think :P.

Thanks,

:P Absolutely beautiful.

also just a few too many parallel octaves, makes for boring harmony.

suspension chords here and there and unprepared 6ths and 7ths just don't make it interesting enough.

it needs to move somewhere... modulate, even minimally, and leave the listener with a sense of expectation.

If you have ever watched snow falling, it isn't static - little gusts of wind pick up the snow, it varies, it's never the same, it speeds up, it slows down, its natural rythme is constantly shifting.

As it was, I had more of a sense of a clock than of snow. And listening to a clock is almost as fascinating as watching paint dry.

Thanks for the replies, guys... the way I write music is, I don't *usually* change a song I've already written... but I do take into account the advice people give me when I write my next song. Now I might change this one, or I might leave it alone. However, rest assured that the advice does matter to me because I will take it into account when writing other songs. Btw, thanks for the comment, Bob Stole My Cookie :shifty:
