hey guys, first-time poster. This is a song I wrote and recorded. Sortof a jab at the indie rock scene. I'd like to hear what you think.

Why jab the indie rock scene?!?!? Oh but they do listen to the music even if I love my hair!

Yeah, it does have goth inuendi and Death in June, and that retro of certain Pink-Floyd inflenced songs...a bit 70s-ey like On a Trip to Cirrus Minor....or Rare Bird.

No matter. Pretty well executed. You obviously know what you're doing recording and producing stuff. A good parody. I liked it - well, the lyrics were taking the piss something rotten but ok...the same f***ing chords in mundane songs...hahaha. Soddin progress bar doesn't give the timing so I can't pin-point stuff but I liked the rhythmic variation.

The opening bars, I wondered what relation you were to J.S.Bark... but I was barkin up the wrong tree, seems like. .But no... you haven't inherited JS' contrapunctal skills but you have come up with a nice song! .Is it you singing because you have a good voice and sense of harmony for this sort of thing. .Also presume the guitar was being played rather than concocted from samples! Well done.

If you post something else of the same genre, I'll listen.

are you drunk or just british? I appreciate the positive compliments.

Hehe. This song and the lyrics had me smiling. Affected by the dye in your hair? Hehe. Thanks for sharing.

i can't get over how awesome the minor 6-9 chord is, along with chromatic mediants. right on paul, you'd be suprised how many people don't understand it's a satire/joke.

are you drunk or just british?

Often both and with too much sense of humour.

Yourself?

hungover. sorry, i just didn't understand parts of your post. what was it about the lyrics?

haha. pretty cool!

The production is realyl sleek (although don't fancy the organ too much... :-/)

Lots of influencies and lots of things to satire about :P

HAHA! It's saved in my computer and into my playlist! That's must be worth something!

Plus it does take a lot of paitence (sp) and talent and craft to shape something like that! So Mr. Bach:

Very Well Done! Quite enjoyable!

Cheers
