Fall 2025 Halloween Competition

I have am enjoying this competition.  🙂

OK, I wanna enter a piece inside of this competition. Where should I enter it? Should I like do something special or can I just post it here?  I declare my interest to enter this competition.

Your piece is for orchestra.  This is a competition for chamber works for between 3 to 5 instruments total.

I just listened to the piece and the only thing keeping it from meeting the requirements for the competition is that you're using ensemble strings patches instead of solo strings.  If you use solo strings, this would be a great string quintet and would meet the requirement of being for 3 to 5 instruments!

OK, then I’ll probably opt out of it then.  Will there be any ensemble competitions? Anything that’s featuring a full orchestra or string Orchestra or like that

The next competition/challenge will probably be the Christmas music Event and that will be completely open with no particular requirements in terms of instrumentation, or duration.

Yep

I nearly finished my work and intend to post my contribution today, in about a few hours.

I will be looking forward seeing @ferrum.wav and @Wieland Handke entries.  

If @Micah submits his, then I can score that.  🙂 

Do not rush your entries.  Submit what you have. And see what happens.

Sure, you're welcome to!  But the competition closes tomorrow - Friday, October 31st!  I am assuming that you mean that you want to submit music?

I must say this from my heart:

First, Happy Halloween. Enjoy the candy!

Second: I am done with my scoring. 🙂 This was fun.  I have listened you all your entries. I heard entries that eerie and creepy! (modern harmony)

Third: I can not wait to see how these composers push themselves

I finish reviewing all of them! I have to say, this is by far my favourite competition on YC. It's so hypered and lots of members of participating in it, not just submitting works but also commenting each other! That's what a forum is for right? I wish this popular vote format will contiue in future competitions!
