Paper Size

Featured Replies

Ive just come back in to take a look see at where you're at after these many months of work. I only just selected a new doc and went to page set-up and am disappointed. First, the page sizes are listed as generic; letter, legal, etc. I would venture a guess to say that after letter and legal that most people are clueless of guessing dimensions of the paper after that. Secondly, if the aim is make this a site for actual composers then I think the published names for scores should be an option. For example, I write mostly choral music, so that finished size is, I think, 5.75 in. x 10 in. Or, called octavo. That's standard. I want to write with the page at that completed size so I don't need to screw with the thing at the publishing stage, etc.

No no, don't be disappointed, Music Jotter is very powerful, we can fix this up for you. I'm currently working on Page Density so the view of Music Jotter will look much more professional. While I do plan on outsourcing Printing Quality via Lilypond, that's a future option. In the meantime, the printing options is one of Music Jotter's strength. If you aren't keen on using pixels for formatting, I can swap that out for paper size. Or I can add more default values in the dropdown. Let me know what defaults you'd like to see.
