your best bet if you dont want to buy dolet is to save as a MIDI and import that MIDI file into Finale. If you have pick up measures this will throw the whole piece off. It will not save things such as dynamics and tempo ect.

P.S. This would be a whole lot easier if Finale would take the librity of importing sibelius files like sibelius can import finale files

Actually, this is firmly Sibelius' responsibility. Sibelius can no longer import Finale files on its own - it only imports through Music XML. Finale also imports Music XML. The problem is that Sibelius seems to refuse to add Music XML Export to its software (which of course Finale has and is the reason why you can import Finale's files into Sibelius). So it's easy to send Finale files to users of dozens of different notation programs. But none of those notation programs get to read Sibelius files.

Music XML has become the standard interchange format for notation programs. If you want other people to be able to read your files, you support that format. If you don't want people to be able to read your files with other software...
