This is a movement for my planned divertimenti for three winds, a basson and two solo instruments. It could be clarinets or oboes, but here I have written for two alto recorders (I do not know if you call them recorders, it sounds strange to me - Italian: Flauto Traverso | French: Traversiere | German: Blockfl

Wow. This is fantastic. I really think that it fits the divertimento title. Although, I'm not really seeing a development. Is this in sonata allegro form? This piece I think would work as a last movement the best. Although if you make this the last movement, fancy up the ending a bit. :laugh: Well anyway, I absolutely loved this piece. Written in the classical idiom. YAY!! :P another classical composer! I think this piece would sound really good as either two oboes and bassoon, or oboe, clarinet, and bassoon. Other than that, everything sounds perfect. Post some more of your pieces! I would very much like to hear them. Congrats on such a wonderful piece! :ermm:

I have been busy, and have recently aquired a 13 (the highest grade in Denmark, equalling roughly A++) in my Religion class.

Here is, however, the revised 1st movement, rearranged to fix minor details and suit the sonata form completely. I have finally decided to set the piece in bflat-major, for two clarinets and a basoon. I also composed several alternate sequences, but decided ind the end to keep all minor elements out of the development to keep lightness and fit the divertimento genre. After all, it is an entertainment piece.

The last reworking of the first movement. After comments from Ernst Ludwig Leitner, Professor at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, where I will be studying in the future.

listening to your 3rd version of the 1st mvt i noticed important changes. the overall structure became stronger and stylistically more coherent, but the transition which takes place at the bar 54 seems worse, in the 1st one it is more flexible and intersting, and you have cut off all that lovely following contrapunctal section, which i miss very much because it had a noble feel and added other informations to the discourse, and seemed very natural and well devised. the final recapitulation of the main theme you have added to the last version is quite good, for it creates an arched structure - which is strong and effective - but i don't see any reason to discard some variations to the, say, predictability of the last version before you show again the theme for a powerful ending. anyway that's me.

as the minuet i think it is correct, well written, but i would like to hear some surprises or boldness, and not such flat texture. even polite galateries like minuets can give room to some degree of excitement.
