Hello,

This is not my very first peice probably my third but Mark said i should upload it so who am i to object :)

It took me about 12 hours non stop since the program i used is messed up causing me to be unable to save my projects (im getting Cubase so that lil glitch wont last long)

I currantly know only how to read basic music and nothing about form but i hope to learn.

My main obstacle has been getting to know the program.

I hope you like it and of course here is a link

Thanks for your time,

Hi Joe, not a great deal i can offer you in terms of advice as this isn't my style of music but a thumbs up.

Keep at it, a hell of a lot better than my early compositions!

Gosh this all sounds very professional - especially for a third composition! It sounds very clean and the electric guitar riff has a great rhythm. The only thing I might suggest is achieving nicer sample sounds for your lovely strings and drums - however it is a small quirk! My snaily ears are smiling with charm :)

Yours sincerely,

This is great for a first piece. How did you write it? It said on the page that you used samples and loops?

Not my style of music but I liked it and the backing strings were nice.

Keep it up! :)

Awesome man, how did you record this? I am very curious.

as Joe doesn't seem to be answering; i believe he used Fruity Loops

Yea sorry about that.. erm.. things are a bit "Ahhhh!" right now.

Hey DC - I enjoyed this as well. Yes, very clean, and the guitar riff certainly grabs the attention - I'm wondering what your using for the distortion guitar sounds - or are they played? A few less straight repeats from 3/4 to the end would have kept my attention - because it started to wane a bit at that point. Otherwise, good job, especially for a 3rd piece.

Yeah, I was wondering what you used for guitar aswell.

It definately isn't a real one.

Yea the guitar was one of the build in synths, But I used the advanced mixer and the built in distortion effect to create somthing that sounded a little more real and unique.

I agree with iMark, not my style exactly but it was very catchy and professional-sounding!

The Scottish influence is evident in the melodic line. It'd do well with lyrics because it's tiring to listen to the whole thing otherwise.

It's a great combination of loops and riffs, in any case. Not so much composing as creative arranging went into this, but the end product is nice regardless; I like what you did with the guitar patch.

Sounds like Fruity Loops or GarageBand to me.
