Gigastudio + Sibelius 4... is it possible?

Hey?

After literally almost a year of waiting, I've gotten GigaStudio 3 Ensemble Edition to work. YAY. Now, I have Cubase 3 LE and I *can* (can be the keyword) notate with that and use Gigastudio for the sounds. However I hate notating with Cubase. Is there any way to use GigaStudio for my sampler when notating in Sibelius?

Possible, anything is possible with MIDI routing.

Yes it's possible, but you'll need a loop-back device. Plus it's pointless. Unless you just want to use Gigastudio for the thrill of listening to the demo while composing because with the setup, you can't do a mixdown. You could however, use an external hardware to mix it.

Thanks for response, I did export to Midi file and that works great, however I seem to have an annoying problem with GS and Cubase. I don't know if it's just GS or if it's Cubase or what. Problem is when I get my sounds set up with each individual midi track and play it back a lot of the sounds cut out. Like it can't handle that many sounds. It does this even if I export >:w00t: So this becomes very annoying after a while. Any tips on how to make the sounds from GS not cut out if there is more than one instrument?

Get more RAM for your computer; sounds like it's not powerful enough to render all the instruments at once. These are all extremely computer-intensive programs; they're meant for powerful rigs.

Actually, we can't conclude that it's your lack of ram per say.

Generally, sound disappearing is due to CPU, not ram. If you managed to load up all the instruments in your Gigastudio without your computer automatically shutting down for safety OR... your computer didn't blow up, you have enough for those. Polyphony count is directly related to your CPU specs.

But before you run out to buy a new computer...

First, go into your gigastudio configuration manager, check your polyphony count, depending on your version of gigastudio, you can have different maximum number of polyphony.

Secondly, the sound cut may be because your set up is wrong. And this is what I'm suspecting is the problem for you. If you've updated your Gigastudio to the latest version, then there's a specific order you need to load up your host and gigastudio. Cubase first, then Gigastudio.

I've updated to the latest version of GS3... 3.21. It still cuts out all the time. I load Cubase first, then start the rewire, then load GS, then the instruments, then I play it or render it in Cubase. And it still cuts out all the time! SO ANNOYING! Please help me!!!
