March 4, 200719 yr I REALLY like the texture. I've never heard an accordian used like that and that was COOL. But it got boring after you cut out the vibe solo. You need to do something different. Questions- Is this as long as it is going to be? Can you look at your piece and be like well that was satisfing? Is there more I can do with this? Would any other instruments(colors) make this better? Am I using the instruments in an effective way? I should go review Meaning's(Karl's) piece named the Blackend Pearl...........oh wait thats not a question.............. Hint Hint. I would like to say that people here are sadly a bit cold towards newcomers and that to ingratiate yourself I suggest participating more. If people know who you are they will surely listen to your music. Just trying to help ya out. PLEASE develop this more its a good idea.
March 5, 200719 yr if this is new this is a gud starter piece. Without not knowing much aout you i wud say that you need to devolop your ideas. and i suggest you rework this piece. Try and add a little more texture. if your trying to depeict rain then think about it. What is rain like? sometiems its hard sometimes is just a little bit, sometiems it comes with thunder somtiems it comes with a rainbow. your piece is only dipicting one type of rain which i feel looses what rain is about. Rain makes plants grow so sometimes rain is the best thing in the world :P this are only a few ideas, i wud like to listen to your rework and if you need help or guidance just post again
March 5, 200719 yr Author Thanks guys. This was more of an experiment than anything. I will develop it, but not just now. I wanted to capture that feeling of sitting by the window bored looking at the rain. I didn't intend to depict the actual rain itself. Rather, I wanted to convey that feeling of boredom and "when is it going to stop?" I've already got some ideas however. I'm thinking of using some pizz. strings and maybe some of the more wierder and wackier instruments. Thanks again. ;)
June 3, 200718 yr Author I know it's been ages but I've reworked this piece. I've added a lot more to it. I've also included a score but a warning: it is very messy!!! I need to tidy it up afterwards. Tell me what you think. SoundClick MP3: Joe Yung - Band page with free MP3 music downloads on SoundClick The Rain.MID The Rain.MUS
