Sonata in C in 3 mvs (klavier)

Featured Replies

Please, have a look. It is my first attempt to complete a 3-movements form. It is mere klavier, but I think it would better pertain to a chamber orchestra (sorry, I cannot write full scores, because I study and play only flute).

I find the first movement to busily... There are too few rests.

Sometimes it's quite dissonant in strange places.

I would end with V - I , your too long in I to get the feeling it's over.

The second mv was a little boring. I can't keep concentrated listening it... But sometimes there are nice things... I think a clearer theme would help, it helps the listener alot if he recognizes things from earlier in the piece, you don't have defined thematic material, maybe more contrast between themes or something? (this is more for the future, because such things you can't change anymore when your so far with your piece)

Sometimes the repeated notes in the third movement annoy me. But it's the movement I like the most. There are very nice pieces in the third movement!

Over all I find there really too few rest. it's very demanding for the listener... But there are really nice things to!
