The Lord has risen

This is a piece I wrote on Easter Sunday, it took me about three hours.

It an underlying motive which is in the harp most of the way. It consists of a broken chord in the upper part and syncopated octaves in the the bass. This as I said is the underlying rhythm, It is also transfered to other instruments toward the end. The key is A major, and there isn't really any minor section just a few minor spots. No key changes just alot of stuff in A major.

That was pretty good. Not much of a melody though.

I have to admit there isn't really much of a melody at the beggining, I was trying to set a mood more or less the melody comes in about half way through. Did you listen to the whole thing?

It's very filmic, from 0:41 to 0:54 (roughly) it reminds me so much of some of the music from the kids show Madeleine (don't know if you're familiar with it). But anyway, it'd make really good film music i think.

Haven't listened the whole way through but those are my initial thoughts.
