My THIRD attempt ever: Game Over/Continue

Featured Replies

This was borrowed from another piece of mine, which i have yet to get down on software.. But this has the same beginning as the 'main piece', only the whole melody does what I call 'falling'. And, for only having room for EIGHT instruments I choose to believe it was pretty good.. I've got Finale (but only a demo version.) so for awhile I'll be able to orchestrate things a little better.

This, I've had in my head for literally years. The flute was originally one octave higher but a musician friend STRONGLY advised that I tone it down, so I did.

No obsticles were present here.. There really is no theme to this.. Just a 'falling melody' as I call it. There are bits of two other pieces woven in there towards the end, too. A couple musician friends tell me that it sounds 'dreamy'... I really have no style, just add what I think sounds nice. As I read no music..

Anyway, enjoy, :

You know what it was?

I forgot to turn human playback on.. |D

Stop naming your threads "My _th Attempt Ever". You can keep count if you want; we don't.

The piece itself is fine. It's mellow and pretty, but not particularly memorable or well-developed. It lacks some sort of substance but I'm not sure exactly what to suggest as a remedy.

Anyway, it's good so keep it up. :o

Thank you for telling me, I didn't realize you had a problem with the way I name my threads. But I must say that you could have worded it a little nicer. :|
