Okay. As soon as you post the piece that you want us to critique.

Added the attachment.

I thought it started off pretty promisingly but then went a bit downhill around 20seconds in. It sounds like a pretty good overworld theme for a light hearted RPG, but then after the twenty second mark it just gets boring - I think there were just two chords used in the whole thing from then on just repeating "AB,AB,AB,AB".

I reckon if you do the whole piece like the first twenty seconds it could sound really cool. Not a classic but a good background piece.

It reminds me of the theme on Rainbow Road from Mario Kart from N64. I don't know if that means anything to you, but I liked it. The non-harmonic notes added an interesting color to it.

I pretty much agree with Fox, I don't know much about this type of music but it would go nicely as a background theme. It does kinda get boring though, even though it is very short.

Well it was all I could think of after the 20 second mark. It leads quite well into the next part.

Well, it is going to be extended, like the topic states this ony an introduction.

^ Dont be so defensive I said it was good!! XD

In my experience if I'm not sure what I should put for a bit I do a variation or just a repeat of the main melody and go from there. Just a thought.
