Thank you Cello.

Hey Saul - the piece sounds very technically demanding, but nothing impossible I'm sure. I have to admit, the piece didn't capture my attention. In fact, while listening through the whole thing, I couldn't even find the pulse/beat. I was lost from the start. Now, this could be because of the MIDI file and chances are a live performance would fix this, but it just didn't lure me in.

Maybe you wanna put a melody out there that is super obvious to the listener, because my brain turned off after 30 seconds or so because there was nothing to hold to.

But, don't me wrong, you definitely have the facilities to create something good. This just didn't do it for me.

PS - would you say that Bach inspired you at all for this?

It sounds like it's lacking direction. It's contrapuntal, or at least sounds it, but it doesn't use a theme which is distinctly recognizable. Also, use some modulations and make it so that the rhythms in the right and left hand don't sound disjointed. Finish a line in the right hand, then start one in the left with a counter-subject/idea on the right etc. Right now, it sounds a little messy and a little stuck. With a little work it could be a lot nicer though so keep working.
