Your opinion please!!! Every opinion. Don't try to sugar coat it for me 'cause I want to get better. I'm a misplaced visual artist and music is not my specialty but I like to try everyonce in a while.

You might be a well-placed musician! Here's some feedback;

1) The upper clarinet played it safe for the most part.

2) I would have loved some more melodic work in the chalumeau register.

3) I am not a clarinetist, but I think that some parts for the fourth clarinet might be difficult for a clarinetist to play right.

4) You could explore the capabilities of the clarinet regarding dynamics (some ppp parts in the upper clarinets, while a single clarinet sings the melody in the chalumeau?)!

Thank you, manossg. I'll take those in to consideration.

?

in what way?

that's a pretty basic clarinet part there. there's nothing rapid, nothing that is outside the range, no register leaps, no extreme dynamics.

Hm, some leaps in the staccato broken chords between the chalumeau, the throat and the clarino register in the same measure. But, considering they are not very rapid, they might as well be easily playable.

Manossg is right when he says that using to Chalumeau register would be good ,but I think that you would be safe with keeping the range that you have maybe making it a bit longer. I do agree that there needs to be more melody in it. It seems smashed together in some spots. Also the clarinet parts are not out of rang. I play the clarinet so trust me.

I'm not a huge fan, its like a Dm chord the whole way through. You should learn about chord progressions in a very basic way.

The Diatonic Scales

this might get you started

on the other hand, i liked the motive --+-++ (16ths sequnce) rythm.

i also thought the kinda layering thing at bar 30 was pretty cool.
