Young Composer's Search Engine

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I have been researching something new this past month. It was a much steeper learning curve than I had expected, but it was worth the research.

That feature is, a better search engine than the one we currently have! This new search engine works very similar to Google, amazing! Of course it only works within Young Composers, but I have to spider the site, just as Google spiders a site, and it is much more powerful than the forum's built in engine. You will find descriptions, titles, and pageranks. It is really cool because it works similar to Google, so if you are an avid Google user, you will appreciate this new site search engine. You can use quotes to find a particular phrase, just like Google as well. Furthermore, this search engine is super fast, much faster than the built in one, and way more accurate.

You can find articles, your name, your topics, other people's names or a specific topic you remember but can't quite find. You can also use the site search to find valuable information, such as a technique, information about Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Bach, Rachmaninoff, Ravel and much more. You will be surprised how much information this forum and site has once the search engine is complete.

Here is a sample. I only indexed 3000 files keep in mind, and this site/forum easily has about 50,000+ files. I am still testing, and trying to format. But this is so you can see what the new search will look like. Give it a test run.
