Do you use a keyboard to create you score

Featured Replies

hi

I was just wondering if most people here use a keyboard with a usb or midi cabel to create and print out their score. I am currently beginning keyboard lesson and am wondering if it would be a good idea to purchase a keyboard with the ability to create scores on.

thanks

Beth

I've never used one.

I personally have always used one. I explain why I use a keyboard in the above link. Others state the disadvantages for them personally.

You can get a really cheap midi keyboard for $150, and it may help you compose faster since your notation program should allow you to input notes by pressing on the keys.

Great thank you both for you help, I'll most likely look first for the playing quality side of things and depending how expensive it gets i may look into something that can help me with my composition as well
