My only duet: Bach influenced

Featured Replies

Yes, I do compose, in fact, quite a bit, I just am shy ;) and haven't gotten to doing any posting, but I figured why not?

I was browsing my old music files, and I came across a Bach influenced duet that I had composed when I was 14 or so. This isn't my style at all today, in fact, this is the only piece composed that sounds this way. Since I was after all 14, there are mistakes, which I never bothered to correct, and will never since I have a completely new style and interest. Although, Bach is someone who I can never really neglect, and I try to incorporate him somehow into my current pieces.

Duet for Violin and Cello

Yes it's an mp3, sorry! And no, mp3's aren't allowed :)

I'm not the most qualified person to offer an opinion, especially since I've never liked Bach very much- but what if you added some staccato-ed parts, and/or more "space" between some of the parts to enhance phrasing?

I dig the intro & slight contemp twists though :D

Wow, you were only 14 when you wrote that?! Great job! At 14, I was just a "band geek", I didn't compose that young! You shouldn't be shy about posting, awesome work, keep posting
