Finale moving staves

Featured Replies

Lets say I have three staves.

Flute

French Horn

Bassoon

Is there any way to flip French Horn and Bassoon so that all the data stays the same but it's just a cosmetic difference. I want to know if it's possible to have it show like that even in studio view. I suppose I could make a temporary stave and just use the mass mover, but then the attributes wouldn't stick around and I would have to go to the staff tool and edit everything again.

You want this: (?)

Flute

Horn

Bassoon

I'm assuming you have Finale NotePad, else you probably wouldn't be here asking this question . In regular Finale this is very simple, you select the Staff Tool and grab the handle for the stave and move it up or down to where you want it. When you're done, you can use Space Staves Evenly, another Staff Tool feature. This is dead easy in the full Finale, which goes to show how much power you have over your score. But in NotePad, that's another story. Your best bet is probably to copy and paste the data using a temporary staff like you said.
