  1. I haven't heard much Glass actually. That's why I said perhaps instead of definitely.
  2. Tonality or dissonance doesn't make any sense at all. Nearly every piece of music tonal or atonal has dissonance in it. I've never heard a piece with absolutely no dissonance except perhaps those by minimalist composers like Philip Glass, who's music I enjoy, but the bottom line is tonality doesn't mean no dissonance in the slightest.
  3. There are a lot of underrated asian composers. I saw Somei Satoh mentioned. How about Isang Yun, or Yoshimatsu (whose music is absolutely gorgeous).
  4. I would say some pieces by Giya Kancheli are pretty accessible. Try Styx for Viola, choir and orchestra.
