  1. It sounds very much like something that a high school band would play for a contest or band festival (as in, it's of that quality). Nice job! samcan

It really reminded me of some film music (The Dark Knight, perhaps?). Perhaps the strings could play a bit louder on their part, as it's a little soft, and the whole piece seems to turn into background music. The intro sounds very nice, though. samcan
  3. A somewhat bizarre take on "The Old Rugged Cross," with "Also Sprach Zarathustra" and "And Can It Be?" for trombone trio and tuba. Old Rugged Cross
  4. Thank you! I think there are some parts I should change; one example being the bass trombone line at D where I have the octave jump. It's a bit too awkward, and I think works an octave below. Another spot would be changing the pedal Cs at the end of the bass trombone part to half notes or something--this pathetic trombonist cannot play pedal Cs that fast! Thanks again!
  5. This is an arrangement of Bizet's Farandole from the L'Arl score.pdf midi.midi
  6. I thought the piece could end with the first beat of m. 239. The stuff afterwards really slowed it down for me. Some of the harmonies (near the late middle?) sounded a little odd to me, but you may have intended that effect. I like the interplay throughout the sextet! One thing I like is at mm. 154-158: Seeing that little repeated motif echoing through the french horn and trumpets is cool. You use the fast 6/8 to also build intensity, which is nice. I wish I could write like this.
