SimenN: yeah they told me before :D thanks anyway! and remember to check your private messages, I wish to borrow a theme of yours :) in rainbows 109: thank you for the comments about the score. I really should buy an orchestration book as you said, because my piece is a little "random" about the octaves and on. I will work on it !

Thanks mael I'm working on it! -
I find truth in every post, and I have a question : Let's say 4'33'' is an anonymous piece. Would it be recognized as art ? I don't think we would be aware of its existence. And now let's say BWV 542 , or BWV 543 are anonymous pieces. I think they would be recognized as art. But we say that 4'33'' is art because it is MR.Cage that "wrote" it. We know that MR.Cage is a good composer, so we can say that it is art. So my question is the following : Do we have to know the intentions of the composer in order to decide wether it is art or not ? If Cage farts in a violin, is it art ? it is still sound Do we have to show everything is music, or should we write less notes and let the listener think about what he heard ?

First of all, the subject is very creative ! yould make more passages that imitate the subject, and if you want add a third voice to increase the diversity of the piece.
-
The prelude is very good! I really liked the opening, that was great :D the fugue lacks of spirit, (forgive my words I don't have the required vocabulary to elaborate a satisfying answer :() if only you could find a good subject picking elements from the prelude, that would be fantastic!

EDIT : I remade the piece, check the bottom of the page.

could you just write something ? 10 downloads out of 51 views is really weird i think people just read what I write next time i'll post my file without any explanations

First of all I'd like to thank everyone who commented my first attempt to write a piece. I didn't rush at every link you sent me because of homework and many many things, so I tried something simpler than a fugue or counterpoint this time. It's a piece for a single instrument. I didn't plan it to be a piece for piano but its the best sound for midi files since I am exporting it from GP5. The piece isnt finished, the final chord is just a coolness factor :D i'll remove it as soon as I read your advices for further composing. Thanks for your time!
