The Knight's Revenge - New movement to my first symphony

***Description edited on 9/25/07***

It has been a while since I have posted any of my new work. So here we go.

So this piece is programmatic. The music will be featured on the soundtrack (if there is ever a movie version done) after the publication of the book series. I've decided to remove the storyline from the piece because it gives away some of the important secrets of the book. SO...if you read this forum before I edited it then that means that you know the biggest secret in the first book. SO DON'T TELL ANYONE.

I will give you a short description of the book. It's basically about three best friends that stumbled across a waterfall that holds a deep secret. That secret takes them on an incredible journey, and now they have to fight in order to keep the secret of the waterfall...secret!

Yes, I know...it sounds a bit like the Chronicles of Narnia with a mixture of Harry Potter and Leven Thumps. Love those series!!!

Here's a rough draft finale music file as well as a midi:

Hi,

OK, I download the .mus file and opened it with Encore, which does support .mus files, and it is caused an error. Would you post a midi file?

Sorry, would like to listen.

Michael

Me too... Could you post MIDI file?

Very dramatic piece I think. There's sth wrong with rec (or my hardware) but it doesn't matter... It ends suddenly, there will be continue, right? :D

Yes, it is an incomplete piece...once it is completed I will post it in the major works forum because this is huge.

Looking forward to hearing the whole thing, but as more incentive for you, I won't comment on it 'till its done :).

Can't wait, good luck!

Interesting concept... and if you want my suggestion, it'll be easier to write the music from a story rather than the other way around. I have tried doing that in the past (both ways in fact) and it was definitely easier with the story already planned out. But it sounds great! Keep it up! I'd love to hear the completion of the entire work!

The story is already planned out actually...at least book one. The music tells the story which main points/plot of the book I already have written...just not down on paper yet.

We'll thank you! I think the fact that I love to move around with the different colors of the orchestra. Especially when I comes to slow and melodic material.
