luderart
What is it that drives you to compose? Inspiration? Desire for fame and recognition, for posterity? To satisfy an inner desire to communicate a personal message? To express yourself? What else?

Tumababa
Babes and blow. Seriously, how many times can we go over this?
luderart
Well, some original answers I can come up with: To compose myself. To find meaning. To express originality. For those who complained, the questions cited did not ask the same thing! And anyway, I don't think this question can be exhausted. It has been asked many times in the past and will be asked many times in the future. Every composer has his own answer. I am looking for others' answers. Not really, but bandwith can :D:D:D Now, honestly "those who complained" the 2 members who posted, that is ;) Go read all 30+ pages in this forum, check all threads that could have something simmilar (not 100% same) and see how you feel then. since I've been here a bit longer, I can promise you that there are tons of answers about the same thing. I compose for: fame money express myself because I have to God has given me this gift etc...

J.Br.
As of yet, I do not compose, I write and doodle.
luderart
I compose because I think that through my compositions I can unlock the answers to the biggest questions of life. I think through my compositions a new reality can be made. I try to answer that inner struggle with every note I place on the sheet. To some the mere act of composing is just technical and methodical; to me composing is a journey through time and space and through the depths of my heart and soul and other dimensions yet to be discovered by man . . . not!I compose because I like writing music. I try to write someting original and neat. Thank you for a genuine and honest answer.
kievins
I compose as a new and original method of wasting time. That's also the reason I play tuba, come to think of it. Yes, I'm very silly
