Hey, so first off... I want to apologize if this is a common question in this forum as I tried to find it but seem to be blind.

I've recently acquired Finale 2006, after having used Finale Notepad 2007 the past year (switching because I can't create midi files in Finale Notepad). However, when I try to open any of the compositions from Notepad 07 in Finale 06 I get message reading "file incompatible". Is there a way to open files from notepad07 in finale06?

I'm hoping I don't have to be seeking the help of others to create midi files.

Finale is not backwards compatible.
