Nightingale Brigand is a poor fellow that was usually beaten by strong russian heroes "bogatyrs", he had a secret weapon of whistlying, he stunned hundreds of warriors with it) Sitar was chosen just because i like it too. :)

I like the samples, this sound is quite professional. I enjoyed the surrealistic sounds, it made it seem like the track wasn't a really a theme for the person, but more like an event involving the person. Ever consider using a balalaika instead of sitar? It's Russian and might be able to pull off the effect you are looking for with more ethnic authenticity. Somehow, with the clean guitar and sitar this makes me think of James Bond 007. :happy:

This pretty much sums up my feelings on the piece. I love the sound of a sitar and wish more music was written for it. Glood to hear a piece written for the sitar that doesn't really sound Middle-Eastern. The little eerie sound effects in the background were a nice touch.

I like this one. Quite original sounding, but yes does need to be longer. Not sure if it sounds Russian... I thought sitars were meant to be Indian?? Anyhow, you are definately not being too conventional with this piece that's for sure!
