Pipes and Vines

Here is a very simple, technoish song that I just wrote this afternoon.

It originally was supposed to be an exercise in writing around a given bass part.

My first upload, comments appreciated.

Anyhow, the piece is ok. It is a bit poppish and repetitive maybe though. The start actually reminded me of a song by the rock band White Stripes. The synth that comes in at about 0:45 was totally unexpected... not sure you are using instrument sounds which totally compliment each other. It might be better posting this one in the Pop/Rock or Electronic music forums too.

I liked this, though I found it a little short and simple, it's still not bad.

I specially like the drums, which here have a more solo-character than just keeping the tempo/beat and highlighting accents. For some reason, this song reminds me music from the Sims 2 when the synth comes in.

You could do a lot more with the drums and lead, without complicating things, but if it was an exercise I guess it's fine as it is~
