Very nice! Definitely evokes the images you described. Interesting rhythms. A bit on the slow side, though.

ah, at least someone here said something about my little toy like piano piece, big thanks to you!

Havent been here in a while.. It remembers me my variations of music that I whistle.. And yes.. It mathes the description you wrote.. Not thetits bad, but for me, this piece of music shows a still picture, not a moving one.. Like the time has stopped.. Well.. Thats all..

yep, i do myself see it as a vertical (like time stabbed colons from the ground, or rain stopping time for a moment) one as well. it's really more a picture than a movie. thanks for your attention, sandras.

there is something creepy about it.

there is something creepy about it.

the feel or about the way it is done? i explain myself - my friend told it was very cold, that kind of usage of piano, so he dissed it.

i like it. I love how people often use rain as inspiration for their pieces (i wrote one myself). Like it has been said, you really did portray the description you stated...one thing though - explain to me how it is avant garde. Now understand this: Im not saying it isn't and im not being snarky and sarcastic; I want YOU to explain to me how this piece is considered an avant-garde piece. :)

thanks for the comment. it is avan-garde because it's not any traditional piano music form, some keys are played out of their normal positions, it has no line of development,it rather gets killed slowly and violently, and it's rather fragmentary in its static movement (vertical) and etc.

(maybe it's not so avant-garde as postmodern in its stylistics, though, as i have mentioned - my friend referred to it as very cold and two times said - avantgarde avantgarde, so i took it for granted :D

haha ok :) there. It is good to justify yourself, hence, now you have :)

Its spooky. I think it would make fantastic film music. I really see a moving picture. The colours are very dark though, lots of blues, greys, and blacks. Its like in a horror movie when they show a child doing something rather innocent, but the child is evil so the scene is accompanied by music like this.

:) it's interesting how you find it creepy/spooky :) to me it's very bright and light piece, maybe getting darker when i shift note down in the rhythm section

I think that piano sound itself has a lot to do with the spooky sound. Its also fairly dissonant.

Its really good though. When I listen to it, I get a very clear imagine in my mind of the creepy children playing innocently with their sand castles.

Could you post a score?
