EWQL:Collossus setup help in Finale

I'm sure Finale works the same with all VST's, but..

I'm having a bit of trouble getting channels 9-64 to play VST instruments. 1-8 works just fine, but beyond that nothing works and I dont know how to fix this.

Any insight?

What version of Finale and how well do you know the software? (So I know how detailed you need the instructions to be :) )

dementedcarrot you need to open a new Colossus player, and open the new player channels 1-8 again. You can't use more midi channels than 8 in the EW player (which is called kompakt and is a lite version of kontakt... licensed by NI)

No worries, you're probably right. I was at school :P overthinking xD

under-thinking, it seems, as you couldn't figure out what it was :shifty:....

Anyway, I read it as he couldn't get the Finale channels 9-64 working, since he didn't mention anything about the channels not being there, but not working...that's probably what he meant to say, though.

I can open a rainbow of extra players and nothing will work beyond the 8 instruments of the first player.

I use finale 2007, and I 'think' I know a good amount about it. I've figured out really anything i've had problems with before, it's just that this is just beyond me.

Noone has any insight? :/

Remember: Only the first player slot works, but the other 7 do nothing.

I think Nikolas answered your question. I appears that the kompakt player behaves like the old kontakt 1 player used to.
