Having problems with the software REAPER

Hi,

I currently have been trying to use REAPER along with EastWest Symphonic Orchestra: Gold Edition to create computer music. However, I have been having trouble exporting what I have. I guessed that to export a project to a .wav or .mp3 file, you would go to file/render and go from there. However every single file I make always creates an unknown error in Windows Media Player. Every time I try to play one of these files it says "Locating codec server..." and then says that an unknown error has occurred. I know it is not a problem with Symphonic Orchestra because the REAPER sample file does this as well. This program obviously must have a working export function but I must not be using it properly. If anyone has any idea what the problem is please post.

I think the REAPER has claimed your computer's soul

make sure you export it to 16bit, not 24.
