Oh now do we really need to close down the only page that has been offering me stress relief without any negative consequences?

That being said, QCCowboy is right...

You so don't deserve to have the same name as a certain flute composer and king of Prussia during the 1700's, Fredrik... Either start refuting our statements and staying on topic, or I'm sicking the mods on you.

I will soon also get really bored and royally ticked off with a certain poster posting completely off-topic immature spin-offs which he considers "professional lectures" in the same post that he started on the Toronto-born Gil Evans and his involvement with Davis and Hendrix... two other realms with which he intentionally went off-topic with to cover his inability to address the original topic, and subsequentially linking back an argument that he already managed to lose to add to his new argument about American Jazz.

This thread just gave me a really big laugh.

Everytime I check YC this thread's title seems to get more and more outlandish, and the "debate" gets more and more heated. I just picture Fredrik sitting behind his desk, trying to figure out what's going to piss everyone off even more, then laughing to himself about it.

I just can't get over these little detours the discussion takes every now and then; arguing over capital and lower case R's, ampersand usage, Ozzy Osbourne's apparent Debussy influence, Billy Cobham and the Mahavishnu Orchestra... What else? Yes and let's argue more over chords resolutions too..

Everyone in this thread is on a different plane of reality. You know what happens when people argue with each other who aren't on the same page? ... nevermind page how about different book, each written in a different language, in braille, and all the pages are strewn across 15 different countries. %(*#&%@*(&%*(@#%@%!)!)(#*@(%)*()@%#

The only thing this thread needs is another argument over the subjectivity of music and a cameo by Baroquefanatic and the Mozart guy

Oh, Marsbars, don't worry about the outlandishness of the thread... I'm currently using it as a stress-relief outlet... I gave up being productive after my 2nd post in it.

My feelings exactly.

OMG LOL

I'm reading this with M_is_D in the same room, and we're laughing our heads off, SERIOUSLY.

So wait... was this whole thread just a 7 page plug for Fredrik's music?

So soon, when Max in Sweden has sent over his Tristan solo, I will post it on YC, if I get his approval of course!

Hej Franzman,

maybe if we wanted your bass to really sound like Wagner, I could go over to a pipe organ, sit on the keys, and it would probably sound better than the Tristan chord, and since it'll sound more dissonances, that will obviously make it sound "more jazzy."
