I've started writing a series of cantos. Now I know the flute, sax, bassoon, oboe and a few others extremely well. However, i don't know anything about clarinet. Can someone please give me a hand in writing subtones on the clarinet? Also, how does one mark a niente attack? many thanks.

    For subtones, indicate "subtones" or "sotto voce". For niente attacks, indicate "n." or "niente" before the cresec.

    This is standard notation.
