The Sunset (Score)

Featured Replies

Hey everybody!

So I've been imagining up a screenplay to write, and when I have really vivid scenes in my head, I go ahead and score them. This one's called Heaven's Thunder, about a detective in the middle of a very unusual case.

In this scene, the main character is looking into the sunset, yearning for answers to the story's problems... his wife comes up from behind, wanting him to go. He feels something is coming, something that will finally answer everything. The scene transitions to another place.

Enjoy!

"The Sunset" - Alex Merrill - Original Score, Heaven's Thunder

Very pretty underscoring. Short but vivid, I like it. Reminds me of the music from Oblivion; you basically paraphrased one of the themes at the beginning.

It's too short and insubstantial to have much to say about it, especially since there's no visual to accompany it and we can't imagine it exactly as you have, but the music is evocative and would most likely suit the scene you're thinking of quite well.

Thanks for sharing. Is this GPO I'm hearing?

I enjoyed this. It fits right into Hollywood's ideas of movie music.

The scoring is great; I couldn't picture the scene in my mind though...

Maybe if you had the video to go with it, things would be a lot easier =)

Despite the short duration (what about extending it a little bit?), your piece is very nice!

Congratulations,

Pedro

I love the beginning!

Very nice indeed. Would do nicely for a short scene. Evocative, mood-painting, if not a little mysterious...

Lovely evocative opening.

Wonderful for background music for a movie.
