Valse cinematographique

Featured Replies

I think it could easily be used for a movie or sth like that (at least that's the way I figured it). It's definattely the most tonal and easy listening of my works so far, but I've enjoyed writing it very much.

I like it. :)

It's simple harmonically,

but it makes a lot of sense,

and it's really pleasing to the ear.

(The way I worded that,

it sounded like I was using euphamisms,

but that's not how I meant it.

I liked it!)

My only complaint is the quality of the midi recording.

It was a little bit hard to understand the style of the piece

with such a bland midi recording,

but that's not your fault.

I'd love to hear a live recording.

Thank you for your comments. The horrible midi recording is also my complaint and I am looking forward to buy sth more professional as soon as I am able too.

It sounds very 1930s France - I don't know if it is meant to be, but I still like it nevertheless.

Yes, I can see it being used in a film, but I couldn't tell you what type of film! :)

You are probably right come to think of it :-) thank you for your help of hearing it in another era and context :-)

Maybe something like Amelie?
