Heya,

on my myspacesite you can hear a few songs of my repartoire.

I would like to know, what you think about them:)

Armin Goudarzi

Thanks very much

I liked "the great hall of the dwarfs"... nice percussion work in there, and its nice overall, strings sound good, you got some nice themes going on. I just think that transitions from fast to slow parts are kinda forced. Inspired by the warcraft or Tolkien universe(s) perhaps?

I like fantasy stuff, n

ohhh, nice one... which software you used on this?

The Intro is alredy finished and scored -> Intro

The rest is in progress. We don't do it it professionally, but it is remarkable how good the raw-footage is! Me and some friends spent month designing costumes, then we rent a camera, a cameracran and other fancy stuff. And because I know so many people who still owe me something for writing music for them, I get a lot of things for free.

For one scene for example we rent a underwatercase and a camera and filmed an underwaterscene. I am doing rescue-diving so I took the Camera and played Cameraman under water while a guy who is studying acting was fighting against an imaginary water dragon. The dragon was added afterwards from a guy who is studying animation-stuff.

So it paid off in the end that I was writing so many scores for free:)

You definitely have some talent. I listened to a number of your pieces and enjoyed each of them

Well done

I thought about studying filmscoring at univerity, but i am not shure yet.

Anyway I have still 2 years school to do, so I have planty of time to consider what I want to do;)

You have lots of talent, both musically and video-production wise. I am very impressed with the intro to your movie, and I am looking forward to seeing and hearing more of your work.

Sounds interesting. But unfortunatly the link doesn't seem to work for me =(

Sorry, should work now:)

Insanely talented. Quite inspirational!

Some good stuff you've got here.

One thing I would suggest is to not just be satisfied with the stock EXP or SUS patches in EWQL. Alot of your pieces suffer from a lack of realism and humanism because melodies, chords, and lines don't breathe and aren't expressive. This is especially evident with your strings. Try using the DXF patches instead, and use the mod wheel to give direction to the notes and the phrases. Humans don't play long notes straight for the duration of the note, sometimes there are subtle crescendos/decrescendos across the note concurrent with the phrase. Also play around with un-quantizing your pieces a bit to give them space to breathe. If you listen to recordings of orchestras, there are always subtle differences in attacks/releases across the instrument groups, as well as within the sections themselves. Also, making sure that notes aren't robotically attached to the time grid would help as well

Anyway, I really do like some of the stuff you've put up on your page, and when you get your orchestra to be more human and expressive, it'll be even better!

That's some sound helpful advice(for me personally too) That's why i love reading here:)

Thanks very much, I started using cc11. But I don't have a midi-keybord so I normally spend allready hours to let it sound "unperfect". But thanks very much for the advice, I'll try my best:)

I highly recommend getting one. You can probably find a 49 key one with a mod wheel for under $60 or so. After you get it you'll never understand how you lived without it.

Problem is: I don't have 60 dollars:blush: Maybe I am a typical composer, because I don't have any money. If you would know my equipment... you would maybe just laugh:)

I became 17 and I still go to school, so I don't have time to work or something like that. And my parents do not really have money. And the next thing I am saving money for is an interface:whistling:
