compelling story

Featured Replies

Hi there,

This is a possible theme for a film I will be working on in a few months

I don't really know what other information to give, so i'll just post the track

thanks all

It really reminds me of something that Jeremy Soule would have done. I could seriously take this song and replace it into Elder Scrolls: Oblivion...In fact I'm definitely considering it....

That Gold Orchestra is sounding pretty damn good. :-)

One thing that I may suggest is adding in a melody. As it is it has a very simple motif...I guess you would call it as the melody, that repeats throughout, and it seems like there is definitely quite a focus on the atmosphere so you DEFINITELY have that part nailed. Now maybe a 8 or 16 bar melody would help it out to really grab the 'experiencers' attention.

It depends, though. I mean, as it is it sounds like you were going for Jeremy Soule and if that's what you wanted to achieve you've pretty much nailed it, so there's not much more you'll have to do.

wow interesting. alot of emotion in there, i dont know where it could fit, i guess its somekind of fill for a charater in a movie, or some scene of slow action/drama.

it really depends on the context..seemed very well performed.

It is really rich. I love it :) agreed though hehe. A melody would complete the piece

Wow, i really like the ambient feel of this piece, i've no doubt it'll work well in your film, however as a standalone piece i think you may need to develop a melody or a motif a bit more for it to be compelling listening. (as others have pointed out).

But as it stands, its very good background music just to listen to for chillaxing or something, hehe.

I am in love with this. I'm not great with musicy words to describe it but if I I was making a film that fit it I would spend the majority of my budget on it fire the costume people and let the actors go on naked. But maybe that's too hyperbolic.

I enjoyed the piece. Particularly, I liked Cello's reverb setting. Its debth and tail sound very good..

Best wishes,

Hakan
