Per Lei (String Orchestra)

Featured Replies

A piece I wrote for someone.

It's more a less a gift to this person.

But I wanted to see what you guys thought.

(The reverb is still in use. It's what I am famous for at this point. I had mixed opinions on whether or not to take it out.)

Probably some balance issues in the midi. At one point, the piano part goes into the upper register and sounds a little funny.

But here it is:

heyy, it says the piece was removed

I will post a new link.

I uploaded a new one, with some artwork.

YouTube - Per Lei-Alex Yaden

That should work.

Why did it have to end so soon? It was really pretty.

per lei is not french; it's italian

I think is the same translation though.

Both Latin based languages.

But thanks.

Either way, it means "For Her."

Quite beautiful, ethereal sounding. I hear some Brian Eno's "An Ending" here.

Thanks.

I love the word ethereal.

I have never listened to that, but I will have to check it out now. For sure.

Alex

I keep forgetting to comment in this thread. I have listened a number of times and something always came up and I had to leave without saying what I thought.

While I am thinking about it, edit your first post in the thread and add the new link there. That will help alot.

Part of this is a wall of sound. Full chords that are meant to dazzle. It is a nice effect that is not used a lot, but is always nice to hear.

This style reminds me of a friend on another site. The difference is that he does the wall of sound with synths.

Nice work

Ron
