Do you have a translation of the lyrics? I love your music, and the only russian word I recognized and understood was lubov... :)

I personally would imagine the first piece (which I loved a little more) with a singer that would use more vibrato, and would have a more operatic voice, but that's my opinion. I also guess that you didn't really have a choice in the matter...

And this piece isn't like my stuff! ;)

Keep composing good stuff... Cause I'd love to hear!!!!!

(I guess you just got me as a devouted fan/Positive Appreciator...)

Hi!) Ha-ha-ha "lubov"!))) You realy know russian language, if you know such nice word, as "lubov" Thank very much for all your words. You know, I'm too very-very like tyhis romenses; today - they are my fawourites) I think, I can to translate the lyrics, but soon, after one-two days) PLease wait.... :)

Hey, what mean's your avarat? Look's like somethine sad. Anyway, you don't have to answer:)

Very pretty music. It reminds me vaguely of Rachmaninoff, some Schubert and a bit of Ravel. Could you post up a score?

HOLY HELL!!! I am stunned!!!!!!!!!!

I WISH I could write like this. I wish I had singers like. I wish I had instruments like this. I wish.. I wish a lot of things. haha

I bow before your vocal writing. I am about to start writing an opera... I can only HOPE it comes CLOSE to this. I would listen to this all day if I could. Thank you thank you!!!

OH, and a score would be AMAZING!

What's mean "to post up the score"? I don't understant it) Thanks to all for your review, I'mrealy glad, that you like this music)

Hey, you liked the singer? I can show you one more composition with her) But there are 3 more voices with her. It's a quartet, with the name "Legato". Their voices are very combined to each other, and together, they are very tender. Here it is:

You beter not to understand the russian words.... It's a joke))) The lyrics just has a patriotical character:)

Like... The sheet music. The music papers off which the performers sing and read your music.

There is the lyrics of two Romanses:

Thank you so much for the lyrics!!! I've been waiting for them. Their meanings are very beautiful and enchanting. I'm lucky to be able to phonetically read Russian, so I did figure out the order of the songs was different... Muah-ah-ah-ah!!! :P

Oh, and about my avatar - It's just a beautiful picture I found in Google... ;)

And I guess I chose this picture because - well - I'm a melancholic person. It doesn't mean I'm never happy or something (that's nonsense) I'm just more fond of sad things than of light, happy, pink-ish things... I see something more epic and beautiful in dark, melancholic portrayal of ideas and imageries. That's just me!!

Anyway, I'd answer your question earlier, It's just I haven't been to this forum for a while. I'm waiting eagerly to see the other things you'll compose!!!!! :D

P.S: You've actually inspired me to start a new song of my own. The only problem is that I hate writing lyrics in my own language (which just doesn't sound right) , and english sounds too kitchy to me. What shall I do?

Hi again, Myrtle Esmeralde!:) It's you'r real name? Sounds good, but a little sad, I think.

You know, our life is has to be in horomy. Not to more sadness, not to more happyness. Ofcourse, you right abut a great philosophic of problems of life, couse our experiance is coming with such different tasks, hard-moments of our existence. Anyway, Myrtle, I'm not know you well yet, but I think, that you have to be more happier) Live in hormony, your music will depend from way of your life:)

Ou... about songs, mmm... your own language is american? I can help you) Maybe I can compose come lyrics in English for you. Or... if you hate to compose on your own language, you can try to compose on russian!) What you think about it?

Who needs to understand the words? (oh, I looked at them..:P) AMAZING work, Ilya! Holy.. I like really atonal music, or repeated thingies... but THIS? HAHA! *laughs at that comment*

REALLY great! Keep up the work!

bravo! bravo! very beautiful.

Actually, no. I'm not american at all! My own language is Hebrew, since I'm from Israel. I don't like writing in that language because I find it a little out of place in classical-styled music. It's not a question of ability, I just don't like doing it!!

No. Myrtle Esmeralde isn't my real name, it's more of a code-name. My name is Hadas Levy. The thing is: Hadas=a name of a plant=Myrtle, in english. Esmeralde is the french word for "emerald", a gemstone, which represents the "Levy" tribe in the Bible. I'm not very fond of the Bible, but I needed a name to represent me and at the same time, one that will not sound like my own... ;) Anyway, you can call me however you want, I consider both of them as legitimate names, since their meanings are very close to one another. It's the same name, for me. (I actually turn around when someone says "Myrtle", only to be reminded by my brain that it's not my "real" name...:()

English is not a problem for me though. I always write my lyrics in english... I just lately feel it sounds ridiculous, somehow. Maybe it's just psychological, and I'm just under-estimating myself, but --- I don't know, I feel uncertain about it.

Russian? I'm not very familiar with it. I know a few basic words, and I know there's no "a" or all sorts of other things, but - apart from knowing the 33 letters - it's like Swahili to me...

I guess I'll just have to continue with english...:whistling:

By the way - Have you ever looked at your compositions and wandered if they're any good? I mean, that you first thought they're wonderful, and after some time - you heard them and said "What was I thinking? This is stupid!"?

I'm a little apprehensive about uploading my scores here, cause I don't think they're good enough suddenly...

I wonder if you also had such a period in your life...

Hi, Hadas! Nice name) I think, yes, of couse I had such times, everybody have such times... I don't like my composition only then, when I composed them without emotions, just with methodical reason. But when I put in my peaces all my feelings and emotions, I like then, couse them is like a part of me, of my life and life of peaple, which I love) But it's my way of compose, I can't to create my compositions, when I don't have something to say in this language - Music, and when I don't feel nothing.

I mean, maybe you don't like your peaces, couse you didn't put in them your real fellings? Maybe you compose not from your heart, but from your mind? I dont know, couse I didn't heart no one of you compositions. If you don't want to preveiw them here, in forum, maybe will throw them on my e-mail) I realy want to hear them:) Of couse, if you whant)

Bye!:)

And... my e-mail is ipartas@gmail.com

Wow! You're a master! Thanks for sharing your music. I really love this.

Very nice music indeed. Beautiful piano accompaniment and expressive vocals. The violin part works very well too. I wish we could see the score to understand even more of your compositional technique.

I wish we could see the score to understand even more of your compositional technique.

Yeah, yeah can you provide us a copy of this piece? This is so beautiful. :)

These are both quite lovely. I especially love the strings and the constantly flowing piano in the first piece. Great work. I look forward to more of your work.
