LA Scoring Strings Test

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

As some of you have heard, I got my hands on the LA Scoring Strings library today (welcome to audiobro | home of LA scoring strings) and have spent much of the afternoon tinkering around with it and enjoying the hell out of the sound. It's lush, it's expressive as hell, it's amazingly playable, and plays well with other instruments.

I put this little thingy together in an hour or so to see what kind of sound an untrained LASS user could pull out of them. The piece is for strings and piano, the piano being the Steinway B from EWQLSO Gold. The divisi sections are in use for all sections except the basses and violas. The first chair violin and cello have tiny solo parts.

Unexpectedly, rendering this in Logic

Sounds really nice, especially for a newcomer to LASS. And I'm actually not surprised it didn't put much strain on your computer. It should definitely be easy to handle with that extra RAM you're getting.

Anyway, awesome library. I wish my clients would buy something like this for me. :D Maybe I'll buy it sometime in the future.

Still I bet I could beat you with good ol VSL. :P

Very nice, very expressive.

Wish I had a grand and some change to get me one of those. :(

Dude... Daddy want. Daddy want.

This sounds very familiar to me.

I really like those samples.

-two thumbs up... and then some-

Thanks a bunch guys!

I'm still playing around and enjoying the samples...they're really something. Stay tuned for a short articulations demo as soon as I decide to put it up. :)
