The beautiful tritone...with the minor second a close second and the major seventh following...

I can't believe that you would say that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Infidellllll!

For me it all comes down to the environement. What good is a single interval? How can one judge without the before and the after, and the current? Music is not static... :)

Hehehe, especially when these minor seconds are CLUSTERED together...

Delicious...

And, Nikolas, I expected you to post your old-fashioned opinions again! :)

I agree. The major 10th is a very pleasant interval, especially when played on the piano (for reasons related with harmonics, I think).

That's where it's at

Finally, after looking at this for a while, said minor third. But that is just at the moment and subject to change without notice. I love all of them. Close to the top is also minor sixth, major sixth, and minor seventh, though I have been playing around with the major seventh some, too, and it is interesting.

I knew a lot of people were going to say tritone. I can't stand you people. :P

Perfect fifth. It's very regal, noble. It's good with anything, including guitar (fourths also) and parallel fifths take me back half a millenium and I love them. As a bonus, they're naturally almost in tune in equal temperament (just a couple cents difference)!

Major sixths are okay too, for dramatic effect.
