don't have woodblock or contrabassoon...what should i use in their place?

I had to search a tad before i found my contrabasoon ~ everything was alphabetized and that was at the bottom of the list. WHY!

Are we allowed to post our work before the due date, or would that go against the rules because we would get feedback.

Just wondering.

Where will we submit. Is it in this thread?

I haven't found my crash symbol yet - if someone could point me in the right directions. Sibelius 5 they're probably staring me in the face, I see cymbals and no crash cymbals, i know there, there. GRRRRR!

Thank you Jimmy! I'll listen as soon as I can (may be tomorrow :P)

Hey Jimmy I loved the Sax solo! Anyway your piece would be fine to my competition too lol :D

Tsniddo (sib & pdf & ogg). Sorry for the poor samples (and composition). Also I'm unable to convert to mp3, so try to bear with the ogg. :P

I added a double bass ("Contrabass" in the score).

I had fun with this.

Here's the mp3

In the mp3 version the bass drum is not so loud, sorry about the .midi version drums and alto sax. Listen to both midi and mp3. I'm still trying to work with the mp3 and whole virtual instrument thing.

Here is the score and .midi file:

SCORES ARE IN:

Jimmy: 23.5./30

Gwuar: 18/30

lawest12: 16.5/30

shalom: 15/30

By a unanimous vote, Jimmy won the first round!! Congrats!!

Sorry shalom. You have been eliminated from the competition.

NEXT ROUND:

Rules are the same. MusicFiend may be judging.

REQUIRED INSTRUMENTS: Electric guitar, timpani, an Asian flute (any is fine), Heckelphone

All pieces must be submitted by: October 18th 2009

Ok, I'll judge. :D

Asian Flute...? Odd.

This setup kinda reminds me of "Land Down Under" -Men at Work. :P Except then there's that Heckelphone...

You would include a hecklephone in one of these XP

(sorry if I wasn't allowed commenting ^^;

SCORES:

Gwaur: 0/40

lawest12: 23.5/40

Jimmyjucin: 24.5/40

This was...tight!

Gwaur didn't put in a piece so he's gone. Again, Jimmy won.

ROUND 3:

Instruments: Cello, voice, English horn, drum set, electric bass

All pieces must be in by October 28

Okay, here's my final effort. I think it to be my best so far.

Once again, however, my computer is being poopie with the playback from box.net

Tell me if you have problems as well.
