Wrote this song yesterday and finalized it today :) Enjoy! It's called Remembering Friends! I'm actually about to finish high school to this song means a lot :)

Great piano work. It has a kind of nightly lounge type of feel in places mixed with nostalgic pretty "debussy" type melodies.

Don't really have any constructive critique, it all seems fine and gorgeous.

Haha. An hour or 2 actually. It was actually recorded in 1 take on the piano then I edited out the mistakes. I also inserted one note haha.

On the contrary, it takes real talent to accurately convey an atmosphere. Most composers, I think, have to work very hard and slow to do it right.

It was very pretty, and is perfect for nostalgia...

and regarding my first listen to this, I will have to say it was very weird...

I had accidentally forgot to turn off my iTunes player... and I wound up listening

to this song called "Boga" by a group called Amiina alongside Remembering Friends...

Strangely enough, the two go together quite well (starting from the beginning of both of them, and having the box player loop Remembering Friends and continue playing "Boga")

But disregarding that...

When I do a full orchestral piece, I can work for many many hours on each minute of music. But I also work pretty quick when it comes to solo piano pieces so this taking a couple of hours is no shock to me. Whenever I take a long time on a piano piece, it always sounds overworked. This doesn't at all.

It's not as much a sadness as it is a bittersweet sense of nostalgia.

Anyway, I really really like this piece. It reminds me of something from an anime or Japanese video game.
