Upshifting

Featured Replies

Hello Everyone,

Just another little track I did recently for a client. It's a cue for a fight scene they had choreographed as part of a spec/demo scene to shop around to get funding for a film.

Enjoy!

Hey! that's a really great sound! Great job. Fantastic orchestration too. Is this live?

Thanks for the comments! None of this is live, it's all various EW, ProjectSAM, and other assorted libraries.

Well it sounds very good. Well done ^^

GPO4 comes with a little bit of Sam's Brass and I love the little bit that I got with it.

The next one I post will use sam's brass quite a bit and has a bit of a fight scene in it as well. Actually it is a sinking scene where they sink the Bismarck.

You always achieve great sounds out of your libraries. What Reverb did you use for this?

Nice work.

I've already sort of given you comments on this, but I figured I may as well post them here.

I really really liked the sound design elements in this track, and I like the atmosphere of the mix in general. That being said, I don't like the fact that the strings attacks are still kind of dull and unpronounced, and that the whole mix sounds kind of flat...it's very cohesive, placement-wise, but the actual mix itself doesn't sparkle at all, it feels very 2-dimensional.

I would have mixed the percussion more prominently as well, given the nature of the piece, but then I also have an obsession with percussion, so....yeah...:P

Good work though, I hope they get their funding so you can get a new film gig!

Yeah thats the spirit! Very good exactly as I like it...

I see people uploaded very good pieces recently...keep it up
