Sextet Of The Fairy Castle

Even in it's simple structure, the harmony treatment is quite complex!

Well, this is unique: kinda reminds me of Tchkovsky's (I can't spell that guy's name to same my life) Sugar Plum Fairy on LSD...haha! You have a real talent for creating odd melodies. (That's a good thing, in my book, since you do it properly)

Hello!

You have some really interesting melodic and harmonic ideas here! So, congratulations on that. I do think you could do a lot more with them, though. For instance, adding some rhythmic variation could be a good idea. Throughout the five minutes of this piece, you only have three different values for notes: quavers, minims and semibreves (eighth notes, half notes and whole notes if that doesn't make sense), with no ties or syncopation.

Also, there are some problems with the score, like having a tempo of 111 is a bit of an ask, and for the final two chords, rather than changing the tempi of them, it makes more sense just to put in fermatas, or if you really want, write in long note values. Also having dynamic markings below empty bars seems a bit strange to me.

Anyway, as I said, you have some really good ideas in here!

Michael.

Thank u serge, i thought this song was going 2 go unnoticed 2 save my life, as for the melowdies, i try 2 intro something new to the yc so that the goal of innovation may spread as did the great composer's works. Thank u arparagus 4 ur detaliation on improvements, the tempo of 111 i used as i usually do, say 111,222,333,122,133,144, etc. for some unknown reason as a sort of personal preference. Fermatas dosen't work well with my composer program so i don't use them & the dynamics below empty bars was just an automatic though needless neccesity. Thank u 4 responding to my post!
